I'm withdrawing frome cocaine....

I have used cocaine up to 4-5 nights a week for 2 years now. I bartend, and don't remember the last time I got thru a shift without the drug.
I want my life back. I want me back. No one is aware of how bad I got. It's something I've suffered with alone.
My question: is there a medical danger in stopping abruptly? I flushed everything and told my dealers to eff off. I'm so done and ready. Can I medically do it alone or do I need to see a doctor?
Please no asshole coments. Please. This is a very tough time...just looking for advise. Thank you!!

You're doing the right thing there, go it alone. If you get medical assistance now you may well develop a need for the meds, the best thing to do is to believe you can do it, and then do it. You are your own best medicine. Luck has nothing to do with it, be strong and you can do anything.

Good luck man! I hope you make it through it, addiction is hard stuff, I know. If you've really been suffering alone, I'd recomend telling some good friends or family about it and having them hold you accountable. Your less likely to relapse if there's not only yourself u dissappoint, it's a few pol.

I was addicted for 10 years started exactly like you then the powder turned to crack and everything after that I am now clean two years and in school for addictions there really is no major physical complications it's more mental and emotional be cause the coke boosts your dopamine So when you come off you face depression so fill your life with activities like sports and the gym be good to yourself and try to smile your doing a good thing it will take a few weeks to get through it but once it's over keep up with the activities and feel good about yourself it's half the battle good luck

Been there man.. It takes a certain moment for u to realize it's time to get REAL! once that moment arrives ur unstoppable! U will do it! No doubt,

The way u see it is... It's a weakness and a dependence that will bring u down... Who wants that!!?!

    Best of luck man!

I would consider a taper. Tapering, although you'd still be using, would be much gentler on your body. I mean it is a gradual slowing down of the amount you were used to taking. I think it's better than shocking your body cold turkey. No matter what you were on or took or are taking and are hooked on, I believe a taper is the only real way for success. Go as slow as you have to so that you don't feel the loss of the habit so much. A slow taper is better than a hard fall off the wagon because you quit so abruptly.

Thank you!! The emotional part has already started. I'm in a fog and just want to cry and sleep. But im so freaking ready to have my life back, it's worth it. I will take your advise and see the doctor just to check me. Gonna also get into heavy counseling! Thank you and good luck to you as well!!!

Oh but if u can u should see an ear nose and throat doctor... I think that's what it is called. Addicts that I knew went to be checked cause sometimes the coke causes problems.

I was doing a lot every day and I stopped n I was fine. It's the emotional part u need time to heal. Just make sure u don't replace it with another drug or food. Cause I replaced coke and smoking with food n alcohol which is probably even worse!!!! So then I was worse off then before. Now I'm emotionally better and starting to feel like my old self after almost a year n a half. It takes time... My bf is very abusive which led me to do coke like twice since I gave it up but I just kept trying again. Coke is really a problem if u r that addicted it's not just like some weekends u do it for fun.
