I'm very intelligent but get tripped up on minor things sometimes!

I know I'm above average in intelligence, I am very mechanical and logical and I can figure most anything out. BUT-sometimes little things trip me up for a second!!

For instance, I wanted to do a shot of mezcal and I needed salt. I have a sea salt grinder, which operates two-handed. OK, so I'm alone, how do I get the salt onto my hand? Easy enough, grind the salt onto a plate or bowl first, right? Well that escaped me for a good few minutes as I tried to hold the salt grinder with my chin whilst turning it with one free hand to try to get the salt to drop onto my licked and quickly drying hand. Duh.

Any other stupid geniuses out there?

    I feel like I'm really smart and act's showed i was above average, but sometimes i think about stuff in a super simple mindset or completely forget them. I was driving with dad once and saw a billboard. he said how they built his parent's barn in the bottoms. The sign said Ross Construction, I instantly forgot what it said and asked twice. I went to go grab some pliers to unhook a stingray, went out the backdoor stared at the grill for a minute and realized i needed pliers, which were in the car.

      that's how i am, sometimes ill listen to what my boss needs me to get, then ill go to get the part and start heading in the wrong direction.

      sometimes, i may also listen to the order, than go to do it, and suddenly forget and have to ask again

    A lot of people who are book smart completely lack common sense. My brother can go into double digits time tables without thinking, but when it comes to something like conversation, cooking, or even basic cleaning he can be a pretty big dunce.

    My gf is a clear example of this. She's beautiful and intelligent and really, really smart. One day, I asked her for a Phillips head and she was like o_O what?

      if u ask for a phillips "head" i probaly would gone "wait what" or on the off chance i was caught up on sleep (one twice a month)

    This reminds me of the time I was suffering from a heat stroke. I knew I needed water so I got a glass, put ice in it from the tray, but could not get water out of the tap. Feeling the need to sit, I placed my hands on two chairs but didn't know which one to sit in so I chose the floor. In the process I passed out and left a head sized dent in the wall.

    Maybe you need more water:)

    I went to get eating utensils out of the trash yesterday. Took me a good 10 seconds to remember what the fuck I was supposed to be doing and where they are actually located.
