I'm very confused as to how edward cullen is hot.

I don't hate Twilight.

I don't love Twilight.

I nothing Twilight.

But I'm very, very confused on how Twilight fans think Edward or the other characters are hot. BEFORE the movie, in any case. Before they had any kind of visual given to them for them to go off of.

I mean, I've read the books, and Meyer barely describes Edward. I mean, she goes on and on about how perfect she is, but does she EVER actually DESCRIBE him?

So it confuses me on how people think Edward is hot when there is nothing to go off of.

Do they think he is hot just because the book says he should be?

    Okay here's the dealio: when someone reads a book, we usually put a face to the name, no matter what the aithor thinks they look like the character will look different to everyone. No I do not think that Edward is hot, but the book doesn't exactly say he SHOULD be. You've gotta remember that it's written from Bella's point of view, so if she thinks someone is hot, then it's more than likely that the reader will eventually have to the same opinion as the main character. And besides, Carslisle's the hot one, lol.

      Hm... I guess that makes sense. I don't really give faces to people I read about. I guess my imagination isn't very good, lol!

      So that means Edward could in fact be ugly, but Bella just likes him. xD That's funny.

    Stephanie Meyer did describe what Edward looks like. Have you actually read the books? And besides, what I thought was attractive about Edward, before I found out who was playing him in the movies, was his personality. He's a good guys-- or character really-- and he seems to obtain the personality that o many girls are attracted to.

    i just think vampires are hot. when i read interview with the vampire by anne rice many years ago i thought lestat was hot. then they made a movie and tom cruise did look pretty hot. i thought edward was hot before the movies came out. i think robert patterson is hot but i thought that of him when he was in harry potter.

    Very true, I've read the books and despise them now. She never once describes him, she just repeatedly calls him a 'greek god'. Stupid woman

    My boyfriend thinks he looks like a gargoyle. I think he's not that hot. I don't understand why he's hot? I guess you can draw up an image in your head. But I'd find his personality a turn off.

    ME TOO!! well sort of, im super scared of aliens. just the thought of them freak me out. But not to the point where i flinch at plane lights.
    You dhould prolly get some therapy to help you with your fears.
    sometimes they can just keep getting worse.
