I'm un-ambitious

I'm 18 and i really have no large ambition in life, all my friends say they're gonna work really really hard so they can have nice houses and fast cars.

All i want is to be happy, i don't wanna work ridiculously hard and long hours, i wanna be able to have a family and spend lots of time with them, not going away on business trips and getting back home at 8pm every night. I don't wanna study hours on end because i wanna have an enjoyable social life. I don't want a high paid stresfull job.

All i really want is to live with a happy family, have fun, and have an average job with not too much stress and an average salary.

Is it normal to have such little ambition in life?

Yes. It's not "little" ambition it's just "different." :)

Be careful because you will at some point wish you made more money when you realize money is fun and you always need three times as much as you make.

I don't know if you are male or female, but consider being a dental hygienist. You need decent grades to get in, but you can finish in 2 or 3 years and come out with a job that pays well, like RN level (which is good). The thing is that none of them work 5 days a week because it's too hard on their necks, but that means they get more time to spend with their families. It's a very good life if you can do it. Working in people's mouths is tough to get used to, but it's better than a lot of nursing duties and not as stressful. Nursing has a lot of stress.

I managed to skate through life without working very hard but i wouldn't recommend telling people about it. Just do it Sweetie!
