I'm think i'm developing a british accent.

For about a month or two I've been watching a fair bit of the yogscast (Lewis, Simon, Duncan and others) I've heard the accent enough that I can mimic a mix of Lewis' Simon's and Duncan's accent somewhat easily. Am I developing a British accent?

    I like a lot of things done by British people. I love British music and their TV shows like Monty Python etc. Sometimes I pick up their mannerisms, but I never developed the ''accent.''

    If you moved from a different country or area and now are living in Britain its normal. When people move to a new are they often will pick up these habits. I remember living in a ghetto area and my speaking started to deteriorate.

    I'm British myself, and there are so many types of 'British accent'. It covers so many.

    I've noticed I'm picking up certain americanisms I occasionally find myself saying the American pronunciation of route ect

      Route is pronounced 2 ways here. Like root or the other way? With your normal way of speaking.

        oh i didn't realise that, the british prounounciation sounds like root but i find myself saying it so it sounds like raot

          Most here say root. Root like a road route 66. But if you have mail or newspaper it's like raot.
