I'm terrified of losing a tooth

when i was around 12-13 i slipped and smashed my tooth against concrete and had to get it capped and now i'm afraid of permamently losing a tooth because it'll be unappealing and will intrude on eating hard food i like such as carrots. Is it normal to be afraid of losing teeth?

I've had bad experiences with a rock in black-eyed peas and a salad olive that wasn't pitted. As a result, I masticate gingerly when eating these foods. The fear of chipping a tooth would be irrational if you are modifying your life to accommodate this fear.

Losing a tooth is upsetting to anyone. Being able to eat is a part of what makes us autonomous. Not being able to feed yourself used to mean you would die. Don't fret, these days if you have the money, you can have a professional implant a replacement tooth.

Hi, listen dont worry about this, i had a very bad episode with a dentist and i now have really bad teeth, they were very white and straight once! i lost confidence and neglected them, i have posts that fall out and i have to polygrip them in everyday i am only 29! I know at the end of the day that most dentists out there are really good at their jobs and when i eventually want to get the 9 gaps in my mouth re toothed there will be some one out there who will do it! dont let little things incubate into big problems, take care of your teeth and you wont have no problems, i've managed to land roles in films with teeth missing so dont worry!!! it can always be fixed!!!
