I'm 18 years old. I've never had a gf, never kissed and I'm a virgin and I don't worry about it. I'm somewhat reclusive also. However, I happen to be quite good-looking and girls, even hot ones, show me their interest and sometimes even approach me while smiling, touching their hair etc. And also I try to be nice to everyone, maybe that's one more reason why they like me. But I use my knowledge of psychology and body language to detect that they like me and withdraw at the right moment so that they won't ask me out. Why? I'm not gay or asexual. I just hate going out, making gifts etc. I think it's just boring. I would rather play videogames, read something and do nothing all day. I like the idea of relationships but not the practical side of it. I'm just a nerd that happened to be attractive. Am I normal?

    If you don't know any girl you're interested in, then it's normal you don't want to date. I get what you mean. I know a lot of women I'd like to sleep with, but for the moment there's no one I'd like to have a relationship with.

    I do not think it is entirely normal. I know guys that would KILL to be in your position, but I understand why you do it.

    Relationships are great, but for the most part, in order to GET to a relationship, you have to go through the arduous process of dating which, for men, is much more... stupid =/

    Gotta take her on just the right first date, say all of the right things, pull back, then give her more attention, then play hard to get, get her gifts, take her out, be AMAZING OMG and after all of that effort, it may STILL not even work out.

    The outcome of dating, the relationship, having sex, cooking romantic dinners, exchanging deep, personal stories, being able to watch a movie and cuddle on the couch and get so comfortable with each other that you stop worrying about whether or not they like you or think you're weird, is FANTASTIC... but fuck, look at what you have to do to get there XD

      I guess I'm just abnormal. My current relationship started as a friend, led into a hookup, led into him coming over and staying all the time for a few weeks, and finally we were like... "This isn't just friend with benefits is it?" One year later and we're pretty damn happy. XD

      I dunno, I've never been big on all the silly courtship rituals. Once in a while I might like to go out for a nice meal or have a date night, but NO GAMES. Pull back, act interested, play it cool.. I hate that bullshit so much. Just be up front about your feelings and I'll do the same.

      ...Unless your feelings are that you want to suck my toes while I finger your nostril or something like that.

      Well said.This is exactly the type of shit that you have to do to get the girl.Fucking exhausting.The only reason you persist with it is because you genuinely like this girl otherwise you wouldnt bother .I've had girls who are intetested in me and vice versa calling me arrogant and into my self because of how i treat them but that is far from the truth.I simply dont see the need to go through all this process each time you like a girl.I just tell you upfront what i want and if you dont want the same thing its cul,its ur right and if you do want the same thing then righty-ho lets do this.I'm not a jerk bout it but i wont waste my time on the phone for 2 hrs or some shit like that just for random pussy . The only girl i'm ever going to go through this hellish process for again is the future Mrs....she wont know how special she is.

    Shit, I think it's normal. I'd totally rather sit on my ass then spend my hard earned money taking my girl somewhere I don't even wanna go. But I dont, because she'd kill me if I did.

    Then why dont you just marry the damn xbox and harry potter books mate? That would be suitable for you and if you had a ring on(from the wedding ceremony) then you would be approached by less girls. Problem solved!
