I have a big mirror in my bathroom and when i get out of the shower i can't help but to look directly at it. I usually look away and feel around for my towel and get out and turn away from the mirror as i get dressed i'm really scared at looking at my naked body. Is this a normal thing? ((by the way i'm a female and please no sick comments))
i dont look in the mirror when i get out of the shower but thats just because i've seen to many horror films.
It all depends on whether it is an actual fear, or whether you simply strongly dislike seeing your bare anatomy in the mirror. It is probably the latter, meaning that you should endeavour to become comfortable with your physique and the fear should evaporate.
before i became a nudist i wasn't particularly proud of my body. now that i've adopted this lifestyle, i've come to realize we all have flaws and its healthy to accept others and yourself as you are. try spending 24 hours naked and see if your "fear" subsides.
Totally normal. No one really like to look at themselves if you think about it. Like for me I have to take bug breathes before looking in the mirror and once I am done looking in the mirror I heave a huge sigh of relief and I actually wish I could just love without mirrors sometimes. But I can't help but look at myself at least once a day.
I won't say I'm scared of my naked body but I do realize that I look like a giant turd.
Few years ago I felt the same way with you. Scared and don't like seeing me naked in front of mirror. But now I get used to it. Maybe it's just the matter of your perspective on seeing yourself naked in front of mirror.
U SHOULDN'T FEAR SEEING YOUR NAKED BODY.ITS JUST YOUR INTENTION.IT MAY BE U HAVE ACQUIRED FROM HORROR MOVIES.U SHOULD AVOID THAT FEAR BY SEEING UR NAKED BODY IN THE MIRROR FREQUENTLY. U SHOULD ADMIRE YOUR NAKED BODY'S SHAPE AND TEXTURE IN THE MIRROR.
i'm probably just vain but i've had entire sessions where i strip in front of the mirror and just admire my naked body...
If the mirror bothers you remove it. There is a reason why it bothers you to see your self. There may be a problem from long ago that needs to be dealt with. You could spealk to a Psychologist. It is not a bad thing.
There is actually a phobia about being naked and seeing yourself or others seeing you naked. If you feel its a problem you should see a psychologist who can help you out :).
Well im kinna scared of seeing myself in the mirror, but not 'coz of my body, more that im scared that i'll see something other then me!
i mean i do get a little nervous when i see myself, naked and i've got some low self esteem issues if that may help
It sounds like you have insecurities with your body. If this is true, you may want to face them so you can release yourself from this fear. Possibly right down the things you like and dislike about your body. With the things you dislike, go online and search for more information about them. When I was really insecure about the way my vagina looked (long labia) I went online and looked up other woman who had the same thing. I came to find out it was very common! And I even found a site dedicated to men who love women with long labia. It definitely gave my self-image/confidence a boost!!
I'm the same way. I hate looking at myself naked. I feel like I'm some kind of grotesque mockery of what people are supposed to look like. I'm also somewhat insane. You might be, too.
Makes me wonder what wrongs you have done in your life.. if its just your anatomy get up get out an GETSOME! else.. seek mental help
