My bf just started a UNI. I'm 18, and he's 26. We've been together for almost 9 months. We love each other a lot. But i have an insecurity.. and it's that my bf will meet someone else... this has happened to me before and I'm scared it's gonna happen again. Advice ?? Please help.
He will likely meet new people but you can still be his girl. Just make sure you show how much you care and want to be with him. If you're the one then he won't have any interest in being with anyone else
Trust him. You said yourself you have a insecurity. Fix it.
You shouldnt be insecure. You should be secure.

Gotta be honest here..He's likely going to meet someone else. He won't want it to happen, neither will you, but..University/college is constant exposure to new people, experiences, and situations..Not that 8 years is a huge age difference, but..It's going to show itself.
When I started college, my then-gf was 2 years behind me and still in high school. Was with her 2 years, did very well, and we cared about each other very much. Not long after I started college, however, I met many new people, including re-connecting with a woman I'd met during orientation, Lauren. Turned out, she remembered me from that, and we started hanging out at first, go for dinner, etc...Then started dating and sleeping together.
One weekend when I was home, I manned up and went to see my gf to tell her, this distance thing isn't working, and..I'd met someone. She understood, and also, herself, said we were in two different worlds, that I was telling her about my nutty roommate, dorm fire drills, and a party I'd been to, and she was telling me about getting caught talking in class and an upcoming dance. She was right..We were in two different worlds.
Keep that in mind..Where you are, at 18, and he is at 26.
