a significant majority of people like to make fun of, insult, and cast aspersions on other people who have beliefs or opinions that are different from their own.
yet those same people, when the contradictions, inconsistencies, and hypocrisy of their own thoughts and beliefs are pointed out to them, become violently enraged and indignant.
is this normal?
It's called human nature and reality, some people aren't nice, just the way it is.
People like to think they have the world figured out and when you rupture that bubble, they'll turn violent.
It must be a lot like how Neo felt when he woke up from the Matrix.

They ease their insecurities by picking on others, & those same insecurities cause them to go into defense mode to protect their egos
