I'm quite skinny but have a big belly, iin?

Im 24, male, and am generally quite skinny, except for one area, my belly. Ive always been skinny, but over the last few years my belly has ballooned in size. I have a healthy BMI, but I feel like im overweight every time I look in the mirror or look down and see my big gut. During the summer last year I started going for 30 minute runs 2/3 times a week but it didnt seem to have much effect on the size. I rarely drink alcohol, dont smoke, and try to keep my calorie intake below 2000, but I dont seem to be losing anything. Is this at all normal and is there something that I can do about it?

Hmmm ive looked up this 'Ascites' and it doesnt look like I have that, my belly isnt THAT big, I just have a noticeable bulge around my waste whilst the rest of me is thin, plus I dont have any symptoms such as the coughing or anything that goes with it.

Thanks, I will see a doctor asap, I always thought there may be a possibility it was some kind of illness but had never heard of anything that would cause a big belly and nothing else.

U've seen quite a few people that way. Somewhat common, but not normal. You should see a doctor.

Look up "Ascites" and see if that looks like you. It sounds like a build up of fluids in the abdomen

If your skinny everywhere else except for your stomach and nothing you do seems to be helping it shrink I strongly suggest you go see a doctor and ask for an ultrasound and/or X-ray. Don't mean to freak you out but it could be something serious like a tumor or growth. please do it now, even if it's nothing but excess weight at least you will know and can work on it but if it is serious and you don't seek help it could be really bad

That's how it is with my dad. He isn't over weight but his belly won't go away no matter how much he diets. If this is really concerning you don't overwork yourself on the exercising and don't stop eating. Seek medical help. Ask for a second opinion if they say you are perfectly fine. :) hope this helps!
