I'm obsessed with one name. is that normal?

Several months ago I had a dream. In that dream I was with some friends. They don't exist in real life. We were at the house of one of them. (in this story I'll call him XYZ). In the dream I received a phone call from my sister and she asked me where I was and I said:"At XYZ". (I'm using XYZ because particular people might recognize me by obsession with the name) After that conversation, nothing special happened in that dream. Those guys and I were playing cards and later we went out. That's all what I remember from the dream. I can't even remember the faces of those nonexisting people.

Since I had that dream, I've been obsessed with that name. I'm male, and it's a male name. The name is English, which is not my language, and probably no one in my country has that name. Though, the name is completely normal in USA and other English-speaking countries. I feel powerful when I hear or pronounce that name, and I would like it to be my name. IIN?

Reminder: The guy in the dream was not called "XYZ". In this story, I used that code instead of the name, so that nobody can recognize me by this obsession. The name does exist and it's a common one.

    No, it is really not weird at all. I have an obsession with the name Caleb and have since a child. I even want to name my child that, and if it's a girl I'll name her Caleb anyway!

    Maybe you could write a book and name one of the characters after the man in your dream?

    I had a dream like that a few years back. I met this girl and i cant remember her name right now. It was litterally the best dream of my life. Anyway, after i woke up i looked up her name in google and it was the name of a book. I havent read the book but i really want to its like a sign or something.

    OMG I used to have an obsession with a particular name when I was younger... but for a different reason. :)
    I thought it was the funniest name, and I would frequently write it EVERYWHERE.
    Don't worry... You're not the only one. :D
