Hi okay I'm a girl and I'm a freshmen and I'm obsessed with my French teacher..? Not sexually like I don't have a crush on her or anything so I don't know what's up. She has two sons one in my grade and her husband passed away a few years ago. She's pretty cool, crazy interesting and super involved with my life(in a motherly way). I was struggling a bit with my grades earlier in the year and stayed after school with her and sometimes we'd just casually talk and she became a strong role model in my life. I have a mom and she's a great mom but it's something about my French teacher that just draws me in. She was the only one who noticed me losing weight (I'm not fat at all but I've had trouble eating) well a lot of people noticed but she confronted me and was sweet about it. Like she genuinely cared. I want to spend every minute with her learning everything possible about her. Why? Again I'm not sexually attracted to her I'm just unnaturally obsessed?

    lol you're fine. I saw nothing obsessive in your description. Fascination or admiration sure. Normal. Don't overthink it

    I have the same problem but ive recently left school and I don't know what to do without my old teacher!I wasn't sexually attracted to her either just a motherly kind of obsession.has this only happened to you with the one person or more?

      Yeah it's happened mostly with her but I've had a few other teachers and non-teachers like people a little bit older than me and it's been the same scenario. Except my French teacher, the one I wrote about, I'm just like crazy about her idk.

      I've left school recently too and at my school we only have two French teachers I was in French one with the teacher im obsessed with and next year I'll be in French two with a different teacher but for French three and four I will have the same teacher that I love again and I don't know what I'm going to do on next year without the teacher I really like.

        Yea I had an English teacher that I was really crazy about she helped me threw so much and I've graduated school almost a year now and its really hard.I'm confused why I get so obsessed. my realationship with my own mother is good but its just not the same.
        I really hope things work out for you!if you ever need to talk about it I'd be happy to its hard finding people who understand.

    Yes it's normal because she is a role model to you and you admire her. I am this way with a teacher too. She cares about me in ways no one else besides my family has and I look up to her so much.

    I'm going through the exact same thing! The teacher thing and the eating thing. I completely understand where you're coming from and I'm so glad to hear that I'm not alone in this. I'm not sexually attracted to the teacher I like either, I think that I just love everything about her and I wish she would do the same thing for me.
