There's a word for that type of person, they call them "otaku", as in the obsession of something, most commonly anime or manga or both if you want. Anyway, ya, it's pretty much normal. We all love the japanese society to some point. Be it anime, music, art, poetry, culture, etc. for example, I have this friend of mine who is really into manga and reads manga anytime she can get her hands on a manga book. And seriously, she doesn't let ANYTHING get in the way of her manga books.

Lots of people go through this phase. In grade 7/8 I was totally obsessed. Now I'm not but I still like anime.

It is normal. Haters are evil. They have not found the light of the awesome in witch anime is.

I used to love it, but now it really bothers me when people are absolutely obsessed with it. I don't just mean people that watch it. I mean full out weaboos that try to act like an anime character and pretend they know Japanese. I just really got bored with anime. I can't seem to find any good ones that keep my attention, so I gave up. So, jsut don't go too far... Also, I really hope that you are into good anime, too. Not Lucky Star, Soul Eater, or Axis Powers Hetalia, or any other anime that isn't really worth it that my classmates can't seem to stop talking anbout. I mean, Fooly Cooly, Claymore, Elfen Lied— now that's what I'm talking about, and that's just off the back of the mind that has been neglecting anime. DeathNote is pretty great, but is getting really overrated lately. It's not THAT good.

Unfortunetly it is normal. I for one hate it, but there are conventions and comics and the works (im sure you are probably well aware of this). but people are crazy about it.

If you love or like animes then your gonna die, horribly. Because once you like them, you're going to get contaminated and you're never going to forget them. And you'll abuse them.

I personally don't like anime in general, but certain animes, like Fullmetal Alchemist and Mushi-shi, I like. so yeah, there's nothing wrong with liking anime. It's cool:)

its really normal! a lot of people I know actually watch it too, and it's usually who i least expect. Anime is just more... exciting than your regular cartoons and daily life lol.
