So this might make me sound like a jerk, but I'm a nice guy, trust me.
I dated this girl for a week, and she decided to dump me. So her best friend decides to comfort me and stuff....I end up falling for my ex's best friend and she likes me back to. She just got out of a horrible relationship, but she really like me, and we have kissed several times. Many people think we are dating but we aren't. We like each other a lot and we are not FWB's. I asked her what she would consider us, and she said that we can't be officially dating, but that we are essentially each others.

What do you guys think? We like each other, we both know it but we are not dating.

    And I believe this situation is normal, but just understandably uncomfortable for you OP. It's just because of the situation you're in (both recently got out of a relationship, she's your ex's best friend, etc) that is giving her reason to take things slow before getting official. I'm sure your feelings are sincere but at the same time you don't want to risk turning this into a rebound. I'm sure you guys mean more to each other than that so the pause is understandable, but not definite. Just be patient and the right moment will come. Good luck! :)

    She's basically saying you're good enough for now while I wait for another guy. If she says she can't date but you are each others thats like an oxymoron to me.. Just bang her and get what you can before the next guy comes along.

    Might as well use her like she's using you as a rebound right ? She doesnt want to be with you but she doesnt want you to be with anyone hence her saying you are each others. Once the new guy comes you will be just a memory.
