I'm going to take the plunge and dye my hair red( pretty coppery auburn) but have never been red before. I have the coloring to pull it off but I'm a bit nervous as I'll have to change my makeup and maybe even avoid certain colors and clothes. Also am wondering if red hair will make me act more feisty lol?
I was too but I did it (dark red auburn type deal) and I'm pleased with the results.
Also, I noticed that people treat me differently. I guess, due to my "fiery" personality (yeah), I've become an "honorary redhead" so if you're a docile person then don't be taken aback when people make comments to the effect of your temper not matching your hair color.
It isn't the color of the hair that makes a redhead feisty. It is the feisty that makes a girls hair red. You can't put blonde hair on Oprah and call her Marilyn Monroe. Real redheads "look" like redheads. Even if they were hairless. There is a special look that redheads have and just coloring your hair won't achieve that look. It is like putting lipstick on a pig. They will still be a pig. All coloring your hair will do is to make you look fake. If you are going to use an unnatural color of red, that would be different and show that you are fun and adventuresome. Like blue or orange hair. So if you think changing your hair color will suddenly transform you into the person you want to be, expect to be let down. Just go out and be that person with the attributes that you naturally have.
