I'm 32 and ever since about 2 months ago I have been loosing hearing my doc says I am suffering from a condition that causes the deterioration of my ear drums is it normal?

    A 2011 study showed that young people under 18 had 13% hearing loss, the same rate as people over 65. And it's attributable to loud music either fom concerts or loud earphones.

    Try to avoid using headphones as much as you can. Of course this is not normal, you are very young.

    I'm losing my hearing too. The only thing you can really do is try to reduce the stress on your ears. Wear ear plugs in loud places and don't listen to loud music.

        If you have to use them, keep the volume as low as you can. Headphones are better than ear buds though. If I was in your situation, I would try not to use them at all anymore.
