So a co-worker of mine has a friend that met a guy over a chatroom on the internet. Apparently my co-worker's friend is going to move to the country where he resides, and is going to marry him. Now, I honestly don't understand how two people can be in love with one another, when they've never met face to face! Is this normal?
tell your friend to be very careful.. people can let you see what they want you to see then you meet them and it's different, she may find that he's much nicer over the phone and internet than in reality-- it happened to me a year and a half talking before we met and he has seriously scared me for life-- we both loved each other to the point of wanting to move in together and marriage. but my love was real and his was just words..
no this isn/t normal.too much of this kind of thing going on these days too..you absolutely cannot get to know someone over the phone or internet.you must spend time physically with that person for months!!psycholohists and psychiatrists attempt to make people understand this but alot of people feel desperate and for some reason don't believe they can mete people the normal way so they use the internet .this a very bad and dangerous idea/.
I dunno, I've known someone since I was about 15 or so. We've been friends through a lot together, as weird as that sounds. We met in an online game, facebook friended, AIM addresses, etc.
I guess since I saw her grow up so much I'm not that attracted to her but we're quite close, so I guess it's pretty normal. I mean we tell each other things we wouldn't tell most people. I guess that for people who met at a little older age there might be some serious attraction involved in that.
People do stupid things, and you can't always do something about it.
All you can do is wish her well and say goodbye.
