My older cousin is half black half Portuguese and I think she is beautiful she looks like a super model.

She is also very smart at everything she dose and is perfect at everything she takes a interest in she is the most accomplished person in my family.

Sometimes I wish we weren't cousin because I would ask her out or even get married but because we are that's inbreeding and gross on so many levels.

But Why do I feel this way I know it's wrong but I can't help it we grew up together and we are also best friends and she is unaware about my feelings and I don't want her to know?

Apart of me also gets jealous when she has relationships be it boyfriends or marriages.
(she has been married twice.)

We spend a lot of time together as well and it makes it even more hard for me no pun intended.

    2nd cousin marriage is legal in all the states, and 1st cousin marriage is legal in about half the states (I'm referring to USA). I don't see anything "sick" about it! If SHE is willing and interested, go for it!

    There are lots of places where it's perfectly legal to marry your cousin. And I'm not just talking about weird backwards places. Just take a Google into incest laws across the western world and you may be surprised at what you find.

    She doesn’t know how you feel. Do you have any reason to think she feels the same way?

    Even if she weren’t your cousin, even if she was just a friend, it’s not normal or healthy to be obsessing over someone to the point that you get jealous when they’re with someone else.

    It's not even sick. It's normal and morally fine on a base level.

    I just wouldn't recommend it because of the possibilities of defected children.

        true, I think it's selfish to bring a child into the world that will have a high chance of being born with defects/disabilities due to incest. if you wanna date your cousin go ahead but don't bring a sick child into the whole mess

          Fun fact: first generation incest children are no more likely to have issues than anybody else. Possible issues only arise through multiple generations, ie siblings having children together and then their children having children together. Even then, the risk is dramatically overstated to scare people off. Especially for cousins like the OP. You can never guarantee a healthy baby, but if there were any problems, it certainly wouldn’t be due to incest.

    Infatuation between cousins is common. Don’t fret. Like Jen says, you could probably act on it. But other family members are likely to disapprove.

      Servian - If Islam is so superior in this context then why is CANDLE syndrome only usually present in Muslim communities? It's pretty much the only common syndrome caused by indemic incest over multiple generations. Either you've been fed a bunch of lies, or you're lying right now.
