I'm going to get braces soon, but I think my humungus front teeth will still occupy more than half of my mouth. I think my teeth will get straight and my moderate overbite will get fixed (I don't have the best teeth...) but I think my buck teeth will be there...is this normal?
I thought the same when I first got my braces,honestly dear,Braces will fix it.
If they fixed my teeth they can fix ANYTHING.
I just got my braces off on December 12th after having them on for a little over 2 years. I also has buck teeth and an overbite. The braces did hurt and caused all kind of discomfort. But looking at the beautiful smile I have now, all the irritation was worth it! Just stick it out and you'll have a beautiful smile. I can't help but to smile now :)

My braces didn't even help my bugs bunny teeth. I just had to learn to like them.
I had braces yearsss ago. Back when I was in eighth grade. I had a huge over bite too, kids called me bugs bunny hahah. But a year and a half is all it took and my teeth are wonderful and straight now. Don't worry, it will work.
ive seen some disgusting before pics at my ortho and they all turned out fine.
ok I am currently wearing braces its been a bit over six months to tell you the truth IT SUCKS but hey when i see pix of before and now it gives me patience. Also aside from your teeth getting aligned if you dont like the actual shape or whatever you can get porcelain veneers but first you have to wait until you get your braces off.. I say just be patient its worth it on the long run...
I had braces and I was nervous about the end results too but my teeth now look great! If you get your braces off and you feel that your teeth still look too big then it can be eaisly fixed at a cosmetic dentist. They can put on veneers that will make your teeth look a bit smaller. Don't worry so much yet though, you have plenty of time before your braces come off and if you don't like the results remember that it can be fixed!
Would you rather have no teeth? OK - well you are probably a little too self conscious & look fine & will be better after the expensive braces.
ok hun. i got braces not even six months ago.i have seen a HUGE difference. i want you to understand that it is different for everyone. and i also want you to know, that yes, they do hurt. but if your mout hurts, and your teeth are sensitive for a day or two after you get them, that means that they are working.
