I'm getting worried about the head of my penis

hey guys,
i'm starting to get really worried lately,
well yesterday i found a slightly red patch (rash) on my glans, i think my hygeine is good, however i find touching/feeling my glans very sensitive, masturbation isn't a problem, although i have abstained from wanking until i know what the problem is. research on the internet suggests that it might be something called balinitis. the rash doesn't appear to be getting any bigger however i am getting all the more nervous. i am NOT sexually active.
could this be anything serious? if so how serious? am i likely to die, or have to get circumcised? please don't judge me as a drama queen because i am getting very worried about this, IS THIS NORMAL?!?!

It could just be jock itch, but I aint no doc

go see a doc, if no insurance go to the ER and they will treat you, pat you on the butt, and send you away to start banging chicks!!!

Seems like if you found the clinical name for it, you should have also noticed that there are several possible serious underlying causes that will require a doctor to confirm or eliminate.
Don't be afraid to show it to a professional. You have nothing they haven't seen.
There are also some self treatments that basically involve hygiene, and some topical medications suggested.
