I despise the hood, because hood behavior is frankly asinine. The ghetto, nonstandard, English used by some of them grates on me.

I've little sympathy for hoodrat moms with 3+ kids working fast food, and leeching off of the government. I only wonder why they can't seem to keep their legs closed.

I don't get guys who go around acting like thugs, and then blame the police for being suspicious of them. People who hate the cops annoy me.

If something bad happens, and I need help pronto, the brave men and women of the force will be the ones who've really got my back, not you.

"Snitches get stitches", huh? Piss on that! Instead of stealing, not paying child support, and gang banging, maybe get a job and be a productive member of society?

The ghetto attitude towards education and success needs to change as well.

I stand by my belief that racism is wrong, but unfortunately some of the complaints people have had about blacks are not completely uncalled for.

      I think a middle class African-American with college level aptitudes wrote it. His view is the same as other professional blacks I have worked with.

            Yes, that's true. However, the black people I've known who don't want that "hood" attitude do talk just like this op is. I'd say that it's just as likely as not that the op really is black.

      In fact, as a black person, it makes very much sense for me to post this.

      The actions of these people perpetuate stereotypes, which may negatively and unfairly affect me.

    I think the hood culture including irresponsible sex, and high murder rate stems from poor impulse control. Poor impulse control creates a high birth rate, and also a high death rate. This same fuck 'em and shoot 'em lifestyle is even worse in Africa. At least African-Americans don't clog sewers by washing dishes with sand.

    I think they can't keep their legs closed because of stress. Sex is often a direct consequence of overwhelming stress. When you are not ready, but you want it, you end up trapped and you lose your mind, so you want it again and again just to relieve yourself from the stress of the circle you got into.

    But yes it's normal and people who hate cops generally are not behaving normally. It's the surest way to insanity. Even the richest rappers lost their lives or sanity due to pursuing this path. RIP Tupac

            Because they don't have enough responsibility. But the fact that single mothers still raise their kids denotes that they still have some responsibility for their offspring, although not enough to create a healthy environment, but enough to exist. Otherwise they would go extinct.

    I agree. What's even more annoying is that those black people will complain that people treat black people like childish thugs, and then they'll go and do all the things that perpetuate that stereotype like all the stuff you mentioned, instead of trying to prove them wrong.

        I don’t think any reasonable person would disagree with you. Part of the problem is that safety net programs in the USA turned into entitlement programs that reward ppl for moral ineptitude: have more kids, get more money, more food stamps, more government subsidies for housing, free cell phones, more more more...
        There were some successful programs that made welfare recipients work/train for a better life, but they’ve seemed to evaporate. However, the unemployment rate is at a 17 year low, so something is wrong.
        There was a black dude in the news a year or two ago, he was in court for failure to pay child support for 27 children he fathered with something like 22 different women. He wore some ridiculous custom made zoot suit get up (the pants were actually shorts) to court and said he couldn’t afford to pay anything, while the gold chains swung from his neck and he stood next to his Cadillac. Black men clearly take advantage of black women so the circle remains unbroken.
        I actually admire black ppl who are well spoken, and I think I notice that because it’s a rarity in my experience. All that said, There are plenty of white trailer trash goobers out there doing the same shit too.
