I'm attracted to a much older man?

I know that there have been other posts like this,
but I think that this one is a bit more strange.

You see, I'm asexual, but I still feel attraction towards people, I just wouldn't want to have sex with them or anything,
I mean kissing and cuddling would be fine, but nothing beyond that.

I'm usually attracted to a person's personality first,
if they have a great personality than their appearance isn't that important to me.

Anyway, I've recently discovered that I'm attracted to this man, he's much older than me (like, in his 50's, and I'm 19, so yeah, that's kinda a huge age gap.)

I don't even know how it happened, it just did.
This man isn't even attractive, at least in his appearance,
I mean he isn't ugly, but he's not really handsome. He's bald, for one, and a little chubby.

However, his personality on the other hand is great, or at least I think it is. He's very soft spoken and nice. I just want to give him a hug and be his lover.

Sadly, this can never happen for various reasons.
So, it's kinda just a pipe dream, and will probably be that way forever.

Oh, in case you couldn't tell, I'm a woman.

Is this normal?
