I hate answering the phone and I never do unless I'm the only one home. But what I hate most is ringing other people. I like get really anxious before and have to write the entire script down. I don't know why. But I just get really nervous.
Is anyone else like this?
I am the same, I have never been able to ease my anxiety towards phones. I have to plan what I'm going to say beforehand. It's even hard to call family members or ordering food.
I'm the same way...I always have to plan what I will say before I call. It's really strange since I have no problem talking to people in person. No idea where it comes from...
I dont like phones either. Calling people makes me nervous, so i keep the conversation away from the phone so no one will ask if they wanted to and if they do i say i dont have one.
I used to be the same way. I hated awkward silences on the phone the most but I've gotten alot better at keeping conversations up so it doesn't bug me as much anymore
I can relate, however for me it's to with my lack of self esteem. i'm scared i'm going to F up, even when i think and convince myself "how hard can it be?"
I always try and convince myself when it comes to doing things that i don't want to do with this saying:
" do the things that require strenght and muscle, and strength and muscle will follow"
metophorically speaking of course.
I kinda like answering phones, I like to hear what the other person is saying, I give the minimal answer and listen to people reactions. People get the impression that I am annoyed. lol
I cant stand that, your like me, i think its because u dont know who your talking to or what ur dealing with - thats normal :)
