I'm absolutely terrified of bigfoot

This may sound ridiculous and/or made up, but I promise you I'm being serious.

I am scared to death of Bigfoot.
A lot of people say, "what? You're crazy! Bigfoot isn't even real." but I honestly do believe he is.

Whenever I'm outside at night, I'm so so paranoid he's going to get me. I feel like he's watching me. I put curtains and blankets over my windows in my room, and I put my bed on the opposite side of the room away from the window because I'm afraid I'll wake up through the night and see him staring at me or something. I won't walk past my back door at night because I'm afraid I'll look through the window and see him watching me from there, too.
I hate going in the forest, or up in the hills, or just anything like that all because I'm afraid of Bigfoot.

I really don't know what to do. I'm so paranoid. And I do believe Bigfoot is my biggest fear.
Is this normal? What's your opinion?

You sound almost exactly like my younger brother. He has always had a fear of Sasquatch. When we were kids, he wouldn't go outside to play by himself even in broad daylight for fear that Sasquatch would come after him. Even nowadays (he's in his mid teens) he can't watch Sasquatch movies or TV shows at night without getting scared. I think the fear is normal because there is too much evidence for Sasquatch to be fake.

Depends on where you live. California would be the most rational setting for that fear to manifest, since they are most often reported in the Californian forests.

According to most in-depth sightings, (something beyond "I saw it and it ran away") they do have a docile, meek nature unless provoked. There are records of groups of them doing nighttime raids of lumber mills and mining camps, but usually because one was spotted and shot at in the previous day, thus making it retaliation.

I highly doubt they are legitimately malicious, but they are wild animals.

It's weird how this myth persists worldwide (skin-walker, ts'emekwe, sasquatch, yeti, hairman, blackamoor). Either there's something out there or we have a need to believe there is.

Personally, I think you're safe but I understand why you think you're not.

Don't worry Sassy the Sasquatch won't let him risk the exposure, you're safe.
