I'm a teenage girl and i'm hairy asf

I hate it, the hair on my legs are so course, even when I shave the follicles are visible, so i have little black dots. my arms are hairy, i have a happy trail, and don't even get me started on my entire backside. I'm 17, and I'm pretty healthy, I also have a lot of veins and stretch marks on my legs because they're huge. I'm not overweight, (127-130 lb.) and I feel disgusting.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

You should see an endocrinologist. It's someone who's specialized in hormones as you seemingly have an hormone imbalance (probably more male hormones than female hormones). He or she will give you a treatment to make it less visible or even go away. There are also laser treatments that are very efficient if the hair is very dark and the skin is very pale. If you feel comfortable with all that then ignore what I just said, but I strongly advise you to see that specialist.

Plenty of men like hairy women. I'm one. Don't believe the media nonsense about everyone liking the same things.

I am a guy, and I hate having to shave my face. I use the Gillette 5 blades. If you want to make it alot easier on your skin when shaving your legs I would suggest these tips, if you don't already. First off shave cream is much better than just using soap. Make the water as warm as you can handle it. That helps to soften the hairs. If you can take a bath, give it 5 minutes or so of you being in the water to begin softening the hair. If you use disposable razors make sure to get a new one if they feel a little dull. A razor can get a bit rusty if not cared for after use. You can store them in a little cup of olive oil. Use enough to cover the blades. In the tub, use shave cream and when you start shaving, nice easy strokes and be sure to clean the blades often. Go in an upward direction. After you feel like your done, I would then go back over them in a downward direction to get any remaining hair. As you do shave your legs make sure to keep spreading the shave cream around so your not trying to shave back over without the lubricating effects of the shave cream. For the rest of your body, dont worry about it, I think as you get older your body and hormone level will even out. You will lose some body hair as you mature. Now, this is just something to think about, if you find that body hair in the down yonder area gets thick and kind of out of control, you might consider keeping that area trimmed pretty short. When it comes to oral sex it's pretty rough when a pube gets caught in back of the throat.

Maybe you can use an epilator for your legs! I even use them for my armpits. And your back... If you really dislike the hair you could have it waxed? But if they are short hairs I think no one will be put off by it!

If you're really hairy with a beard, you could join a circus. Personally I would have laser treatment to get rid of it.

It's totally normal, lots of girls are hairy and have stretch marks. When I was a teenager I couldn't EVER imagine being ok with my body at some point in my life, but here I am now and I never shave and I love it. :)

You don't like your extra body hair, as much as how many men actually grow man breasts or "moons". They are pretty much in the same situation as you. I blame so much of the negative feelings kids and young adults have these days on the women's magazines at the checkouts in stores. Stories on how to be sexy for your man, how to lose those last 10 lbs, etc. So much emphasis on looking and being as "perfect" according to the female models handbook. If So many people just could accept the self as is and not be comparing themsekf to magazine covers.

  • You're not disgusting! I understand feeling that way because we're culturally expected to look a certain way and people who don't are expected to do everything they can to conform, but everyone's body is different, and depending on your genetics, some women just have more hair and it's totally okay. If this is a common thing for women in your family, I would just try to be more accepting of your body. However, if it's unique to you and you experience unusual mood swings, menstrual problems, or other unusual stuff that's interfering with your life, I'd consult a doctor.

It is perfectly. Don't be sad. Human bodies come in different shapes, sizes and hairiness. Cherish your body.

I second the suggestion of seeing a dr. There are various conditions that can cause stretch marks (Ehlers-Danlos is one that ones to mined). Whatever the cause, it's important to find out. As for hairy, not much I can offer on that one.
