I'm a girl and go by the name mickey?

Well, my name is Michelle, but I've always been called "Mickey" by my family, and I don't have a problem with it, in fact, I like the name Mickey over my real name (for various reasons.)

Still, I know that it's not really a girl's name per se,
and I can't really think of any other women who go by that name, unless they are maybe Japanese and spell it like "Miki", or whatever. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Is it normal?

I knew a woman who went by Mickey, so it sounds normal to me. (Not sure how she spelled it or if it was her actual name.)

To me, it's just as odd as hearing a guy's name being Kelly or Ashley, which is not weird at all. I've met someone whose name is Tommy Tomson Tommermans. Now that, is abnormal - and a mouthful.

    • Michaela? I haven't heard that name before, it's interesting. Is it pronounced " Mikel-ela" or, " Me-shella"?

Mickey and Jeremy are meant to be together. Marry me and be my Mickey Brown.

In the 1980's Horror series "Friday The 13th: The Series" (which was off beat from the Jason slasher movies) There was a character named Micki Foster portrayed by Louise Robey.

The most unfitting name for a woman is Shane.
