I'm 20 yet thunder and lightening frightens me half to death...

I'm 20 years old yet inexplicably scared of the current thunderstorm in Paris as I have huge patio windows and am just waiting to be struck by some rogue French lightening....grumble. I'm not sure it's normal to worry about it so much at this age!

Storms are extremely frightening to many people. I live in the tornado alley region of Texas, and many people have experienced tornados. Some of these folks literally go into panic at the first clap of thunder. Others who haven't been traumatized are just plain scared. Your normal! Just stay away from NW Texas in the spring!!

Don't worry, everyone has a fobia of some sort, in many cases regardless of age

Some people think of a fear of thunderstorms as something only little kids have. Some of those kids are just scared of the loud noises, and they soon grow out of it. But for others, it's like any other fear, and age doesn't matter from that poibt on. Anyone can be scared of thunder and lightning; you're fine.

Try a sport that is a bit risky, like hiking to get a bit more bravery.

I live in Grinnell Iowa and I am scared, too, of the "current thunderstorm in Paris, France." Scares the whackypoo outta me.

I will never go to Paris when it is planning to rain. I will only go there when it's sunny and you buy me the ticket.

    Mercy Beans.
