TRULY, ACTIONS DO SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. YET NOTHING REPLACES WHAT IS AUDIBLE, JUST AS NOTHING REPLACES ACTIONS...NEED BOTH
She is saying she needs to HEAR it ... why are you people disrespecting that by saying in essence "no you don't" ... ??? You are not getting it.
OP - go tell them you need to HEAR it.
As said by mtnw, it doesn't have to be said to be felt. Or you could actually talk to them about this, that you're insecure and you need love.
i'm another one to agree that it doesn't have to be said to be felt.
constantly saying i love you became real popular in the 80s, and people constantly saying it lessened it in my opinion.
if you live in a normal household, and there's give and take on both parts, then "know" that you are loved.
Don't listen to Ollieo as his information is typically off but just relax. You don't have to say or hear those three words to know anyways.
I would look into the people and see how they are around you. If they are better and enjoy your company, odds are they are happy and probably will love you. If they are miserable and you spend quite a bit of time fighting, than probably not. I would not stress on it too much though, those words reallty won't change much.
It is good to say 'I love you' sometimes but I think it can be over-used.
Someone used to say it a lot to me and it started to annoy me. I thought, yeah, you said that yesterday/an hour ago/whatever but it made me think.....did you not mean it enough then for you to have to repeat it or did you think that I forgot and had to be reminded?
'I love you' is a powerful thing to say to someone and it doesn't need to be repeated. It somehow takes away that power if it is over-used.
Tell them exactly that: "I really need to hear that they love me so i can know that they care for me!!!" They are so lucky to have you!!!
try telling them and they might say it back? maybe they feel the same as you? if u have not been brought up with people who say i love you a lot then u will find it hard to say it yourself.
remember, there are lots of other ways to say you love someone. saying it is meaningless unless u show it x
