I love this t-shirt and i don't want to give it back!

Today I was at my best friends house and he accidentally spilled juice all over my top! So I borrowed his t-shirt and went home with it. I am home now, however on my way home I started bonding with this t-shirt! I don't wanna give it back! I promised to give it back tomorrow but I don't want to anymore! Its a little big but I don't care I love it!
Is this normal? Should I give it back even if I know John(the t-shirt) needs me? How do I ask to keep the t-shirt(John) without sounding weird? What if he doesn't approve of our relationship!!?? What if he is also in love with John(the t-shirt)!?
Sorry about asking too many questions. I just don't want him to think I am being weird again. I am a guy.
