If by older you mean someone a class or two, maybe three above you then meh. I remember girls in my class would always do that, maybe not generally but enough times for it to be common. If you mean above that then no, not for a high schooler.
It depends on how old you're talking. If they're in their 20s, it's not so strange to be attracted to them, but it's still not recommended because they've had a little more life experience than you since you're still in high school.
