To me rap is not music. Just a bunch of annoying noise. As a musician (guitar), I find some of the lyric rhyme catchy and inventive. But these young fellows who record these "things" screw it all up with a bunch of headache inducing prerecorded tracks some lame brain producer dubs in at these sporadic whims. Like he must of been smoking a "blunt" when he put this shit together. I've never heard of chance or pants or rants or whoever this young man is, but why should I bother?

I like Chance. I don't know why every one has to be such a dick about a certain genre... Music is music, any self-respecting "musician" would know this... Chance isn't the best but he's pretty good. MF Doom, Aesop Rock, Del the Funky Homosapien... Those are some favs.
Any "self-respecting" musician IS a musician and would consider rap on a par with banging on empty cans with a stick as you rant and rave on your way into a crack house. That's rap. Plain and simple.
I only know cocoa butter kisses, not too crazy about him. I prefer to listen to more meaningful rap music, like immortal technique. Check him out.
I don't know what you are talking about. But rap is shit and the people who listen to it are also lame. That is not an opinion, thats a fact. I am always right even when I am wrong I am still right.
