When I lost my virginity I still had not had my first kiss. I had just moved to a new school and wanted to be cool so I told a guy I liked that I wasn't a virgin so he assumed I had my first kiss already. I lost my virginity to him but wouldn't kiss him out of fear he would know I lied if I didn't "kiss right". I'm now in my 20s but I'm thinking back wondering if this is at all normal?

            although there are cases of elastic hymens or ones that have already broken from foreplay, or simple accidents... those are not very common.

              Hah... after some researches Wikipedia states that this is complete bullshit... the hymen doesn't break during sex... actually 50% of all women do not bleed when having sex for the first time and the rest has normal causes and represents a normal injury!

          I think Issupernormal is saying is that a lot of guys did not know what a hymen was or how it worked. Given this fact a guy might just assume that it was normal for girls to bleed sometimes after sex. Also some people bleed during sex anyways if it was too rough or if they are raw.

            and frankly... there are few virgins who know how to actually ACT like a sexually accomplished woman.

            Oh I know they exist in romances, and fiction, or in someone's own self-image... but often you can tell just how inexperienced someone is. even if they read all about it in a book, doesn't mean their mental ideas will magically translate into the equivalent of real experience.

        I knew the mechanics, and why it hurt a girl when I was 13 and looking up puberty on the relatively new internet back in the 90's.

        The only thing I never went over was the female-specifics, like ovulation, how pregnancy can be avoided if you time sex correctly in the cycle, cramps, when a girl can become pregnant (I always thought anyone over 11, but I guess that isn't true?), why the breasts get tender, and other assorted female puberty things.

          yes that isn't true. iirc the youngest recorded pregnancy is under 6 years old. (The child went into puberty extremely early of course).

          what's interesting though is ... a woman's cycle actually becomes more regular with unprotected sex. interesting how male hormones can actually affect female hormones like that, eh?

    In the end, this is all highschool nonsense that doesn't matter at all. When you lost your virginity, had your first kiss, etc, doesn't make you the person that you are. Focus on being happy now and being with someone who makes you happy.

        When i was young my father and his random girlfriends would have sex in front of me. So when i was a kid sex was the norm.

    No it is not normal. Sex is a way bigger deal than a kiss. In fact sex is sacrate to most people. So the fact that u had sex before u first kiss isn't normal at all .
