I went from 98 kg to 83 kg recently over a 2 month period and it's not that noticeable.

I beg to differ, 33lbs would be noticeable

Nah I look a lot more ripped but you can't really tell when I've got a t - shirt on. All guys I work with have said the extra definition has actually made me look bigger lol.

Some people probably noticed but nobody cares. Your weight isn't important to anyone but yourself. Not trying to be mean, you should be proud of yourself and I'm happy for you but don't become one of those people who thinks they are important enough that everyone should notice the mundane changes to their life/appearance.

    • Well I'd hope they'd care as they're my family/friends. I don't think it's mundane to workout/reduce calories and want people to notice so that you know it's not just in your head.

It's not mundane to you, it's a great accomplishment personally. But it is mundane to other people. A dangerous thing about worrying what other people think is that you stop doing it for yourself. If you rely on other peoples validation you might lose your motivation. You lost a good amount of weight and that's great. But don't concern yourself with other people noticing. Only worry about what you think.

Here's an idea of you really need the outside validation. When you are in their company bring up wanting to go shopping more for new clothes since your clothes are too loose now.

Again. I'd try not to rely on outside validation, but if you need it then that would be a way to hint at it. Either way, keep up the good work.

It could be normal or abnormal depending on what weight you were before you lost the fourteen pounds. If you were say, ~200 pounds and lost fourteen, it would be less noticeable than someone who's ~150 pounds and lost fourteen. Think of it proportionately, what percent of your former weight would fourteen pounds have been?

How much did you weigh back then and how much do you weigh now? Depending on how much you're starting weight was, the amount of weight you lost might not be noticeable. Congrats on the weight loss, by the way.
    :)

Depends on how you lost it.

If you lost it just by calorie reduction, it's not really that noticeable. If you lost it by exercising a part of your body then people notice it.

    • I did both. My stomach seems flatter to me and my legs are smaller. I'm a size smaller than I was so I felt like people would see that but I guess not.

      • A size smaller as in one size? Yeah not noticeable.

        • Maybe you're right. Maybe they'll notice when I go down another size.
