I like video game characters instead of girls...

Ok so I am one of the millions of rabid addicts who purchased the game World of Warcraft, and I'd like to say, first of all, please don't hold that against me. It's my choice of a video game, and I'd rather not get comments from the people that just rolled their eyes when they read the first sentence.

But, why I am here... so after learning how to play WoW, I created a tauren shaman - currently he's level 61 - and he immediately became my favorite character. But after a while he became more than my favorite character. Since then, I have bonded to him like a person would to their best friend, or... significant other.

I'm not sexually turned on by him, and you can look at another one of my posts to read all about that (yes, more gossip), but I am really close to this thing that is supposed to be an inanimate code in a computer! And from my friends' opinions, taurens aren't exactly the best-looking things either... but I think they are adorable! But just the male ones. Is that weird? (Just say yes, and get the straightjacket.)

I'm seriously worried that I may have something psychologically wrong with me.

    You only like the male Taurens? Hey honey at least you're playing Horde mmkay? I got a lvl 80 undead warlock, her name is DragonPrayer and shes in Realm Steamwheedle Cartel. Now, if you only like the way Taurens, when their males are, you might be either A. Homosexual or at least a little bi-curious because it's keeping you away from women interaction or B. you need more male interaction and possibly female and male interaction, I know how consuming that game can be, how about go to a local pool hall with a cpl of you guy buds and chill for a few hours and check out the chicks, talk about lifes about these day and what chicks you think are hot, ect.

    You're fine. My fiance and I play Valve's Team Fortress 2 and we enjoy it. Just be happy and if you would rather like a fake character over a girl, I am happy for you. At least to shut them up you know what the computer's power button is located at.

    Take a break.I play a lot of video games but over girls!?You are either a homo or you need to stop playing for at least a week, see how you feel.

    you like that he is under your total control, that he is there for you whenever you want, that he will do and obey as you command, no living creature would submit to your rule so completely, and you're being seduced by that power, it goes hand in hand with the visual, and so you link the two in your mind and find this creature very pleasant to behold

    I can%%u2019t imagine how you must seen when an alliance like me comes over and kill%%u2019s one of them stupid cows. If it makes you feel any better, I don%%u2019t kill ppl lower my lvl, and I am a lvl 80 warlock. WOW is an amazing game, and it%%u2019s very very easy to get sucked into it. I might even go so far and say MMO like WOW, is the next generation of live entertainment. (hey and they don%%u2019t%%u2019 have commercials while ur playing it. And you are the main actor/focus)

    But yes it does not sound normal, the way you describe your relation with ur tauren character. Instead be asking yourself, do you find it easy to interact with people? You know your social groups? the friends, the family members, buddies etc? if you don%%u2019t then yes by all means there is something wrong with you my online friend. How does one fix this? Hell idk, if you find out let me know%%u2026. I might need some help too O_o?

    Seriously, have you ever thought of seeing a pherapist. Or you could attend one of the rehab clinics for WoW.

    Or simply look at some porn.
