I do that with cayenne pepper for some foods, it's normal if you like the taste.
I used to do the same with vinegar.
I'd have chicken covered in breadcrumbs... Then soak it in so much vinegar the breadcrumb covering turned to this mushy batter substance that you could slide off the chicken like a slinky little dress. Everything would just taste of vinegar. Chips turgid with vinegar, vegetables sweating vinegar... The peas were drowning! Vinegar vinegar vinegar.
And I'm sure that wasn't normal. So no it's not normal to season something with a single condiment to the extent that the something then tastes only of that condiment.
I do the same. I use a bunch of black ground pepper on most things that i eat. I believe it is normal.
I do the same with olive oil, but since it has such a strong taste I mainly use it for pasta:/
Wayne the "Main Brain" McClain....lol
The pub was just an illusion created by his huge brain. Maybe that's all IIN is....an illusion.
Maybe that's all we are... Some sick fuck's illusion! Does that make my feelings any less real? My... My love for chocolate chip cookies any less real?!
WHAT IS REAL? HOW DO YOU DEFINE REAL? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain... Which means these delicious chocolate chip cookies aren't real?! Which means I didn't eat them after all?! Which means I just paid £1.30 for nothing! Which means I should go back to the shop and demand a refund!
It is in SPAAAAACE! (I read that because having loose powders floating around the space station is not acceptable, astronauts have their salt and pepper in liquid form. The salt is dissolved in water and the pepper is suspended in oil.)
Im weird I never put salt or pepper on my food. Cook with it, yes. Apply afterwards, I don't.
I'm the same if I'm having any food with chilli peppers. I have dried chilli seeds and I go nuts with them. It causes all kinds of bodily reactions, some of them very pleasant, and chillies are definitely my drug of choice.
