I like to be drunk when writing emails

When I have to reply to long e-mails, I feel the need to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes. I save writing e-mails until I have a drink beside me. That way, I write much more easily. More honestly, more interestingly and more freely. But I feel bad afterwards, thinking...was that really me typing or just my alcohol-drenched brain? My drunken e-mails are usually written quite well, in that they usually have good grammar and punctuaion.
I just seem to express myself better after a drink or four.
I am making a new year's resolution to stop drinking and smoking so much but I am worried about the content of my future sober e-mails.
Is this normal?
