Is it normal to like the taste of Diet Coke/Pepsi better than normal Coke/Pepsi? For some reason, the sweetener has something unique to it that I love and that I can't find in regular sodas. Is this normal?
P.S. Please no "Aspartame is poison" stuff. I don't guzzle the stuff like water and I only have it on very rare occasions.
sounds pretty normal to me. i really don't like the after taste left by sugary sodas
I hate the taste of diet sodas. Well actually Sprite Zero is alright but I prefer the taste of real sugar. I dont drink soda much at all but if I do I like the real thing. I had a boyfriend who loved it though he drank a whole bottle in a day of diet Coke or diet cCke with Lime.
Aspartame isn't bad for you, it's bullshit people perpetuate rather than looking at the science.
Yes it's normal. The only difference is how the drink is sweetened. Rather than sugar, they use a sweetener / balance of sweeteners. This can change the sweetness slightly, which changes the balance of flavours, meaning there is a very subtle difference. If you prefer this difference, it makes sense to prefer diet cola.
I prefer diet drinks simply because I have useless teeth that can't take a lot of sugar or acid.
When I was a kid thats all my grandparents had at their house so I got used to it and since I was 18 all I drink is diet soda. diet caffine free coke and diet dr p are my favorite!!

I like root beer and ginger ale in that order. Also screw high fructose corn syrup. You must seek out the original soda made with cane sugar. More expensive but worth it. screw diet soda. **Blows bigger load than expected**paper towel sheet gets saturated**
