I actually had to create a man in my mind who could meet my standards. I've never had a boyfriend, but I'm fifteen, so I don't think that's really anything to worry about.
I usually have a crush on a guy; I don't remember a school year when I didn't like a guy, but this year I've just kind of given up, and I've resorted to making a male masterpiece...who is nonexistent.
Is that normal?

    I've had friends who were in love with VIDEO GAME characters. One was in love with Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7 and she once called me crying because she was depressed that he wasn't real and she could never have him.

      Well, my person isn't really imaginary. He's real, I just don't know what he looks like. He's the son of the lead singer of this band that I like. He plays cello and in my head is gorgeous and intelligent. Does that still count as imaginary?

    I made up an entire alternate reality, that I one day will write down into a novel. They're normal like us but making up their lives in my head, especially when I'm laying in the dark waiting to fall asleep.

    So I'd say, from my viewpoint at least, this is fairly normal.

    My mom was/ is an uptight hag who's now been divorced twice. I'm sorry for you. Find a good mother substitute who will help you or you'll end up like me ; ashamed of body , femininity and sexuality.

    i have 1 i even convinced the chemistry students he was real i describe his color eyes and everything i think im weird but i couldnt ever let go of him then id have noone its glad to know im not alone

    hahah i also have an imaginary boyfriend. actually, i've gone through several of them. although i'm 20.... xD
    except i make sure to give mine flaws.
    this way, if(when?) a real boy comes along, i won't feel so bad leaving the imaginary one.
