I like small weapons over big is it normal?

if i had the choice of weapons in battle/zombie out-break i would choose small weapons not big.i would choose a few pistals throwing knives/axes knives dagers.i would use one big weapon.the crossbow.is this normal

    Smaller weapons are easier to conceal thus keeping the element of surprise on your side.
