I AM A MASSIVE PYROMANIAC!!! I can never have enough fire, however I have ended up in the burn ward A LOT so now I make sure to appease my addiction to fire in a controlled and safe way, making sure to keep fire protection gear at hand, by taking precautions I feel much better about my fireplay but you must always remember fire is beautiful but can be dangerous, you must respect that fire is unbiased in who it burns.

Pyromania isn't easy to treat clinically. Recidivism rates are high. Probably for the same reason I just mentioned (the lack of socially acceptable outlets). If you think you might be a danger to yourself or others, check yourself in anyway. At least there will be a paper trail should something happen.

Fire is awesome. I don't think you're crazy. If you feel the need to destroy something, use your own property and be prepared to deal with any consequences. The only thing that really made me wonder was when you mentioned making a bomb that "can't kill anyone, but can burn them". I hope you got rid of that in the middle of nowhere away from anything flammable. Try mental imagery/fantasizing, fire-related photos on Flickr, videos, whatever.

I'm an adult with a hobby in something like special effects. Burns are inevitable.

Well I don't see a problem with bein a pyromaniac. Fire is cool and all but you can't get all caught up in it and do something stupid. IMO long as you keep it controlled an use your head and common sense you should be ok.

My entire town was destroyed by a careless arsonist. Not just the town I live in but also many other towns. The fire started over 50 kms away but burnt towards our towns in a massive firestorm. 34 people died in Marysville, 9 in the town I live in. In total 173 people died as a result of Bushfires on that day, many caused by arson. They say 173 died, but there were more. Many people were so badly burnt they could not be identified. Many people were only piles of ash. Entire towns with hundreds of years of history were destroyed, and families were ripped apart. It was the most horrific event of my life and was caused by some faggot with a lighter.
It's sad to think that so many people I knew would still be here today if one careless bastard didn't light that fire.

There's nothing wrong with having an interest in fire, my friends and I used to make sparkler bombs and flame throwers. But we were really fucking careful not to cause any damage and we would never start a fire that we couldn't control.

All I am saying is be really careful, you say you burnt half a forest which implies to me that you lit an uncontrolled forest fire. If that's what you did, it's very fucking stupid and anyone around here caught doing that would be shot. To many people have died because of careless behavior.

I used to be like this. Once I perfected my techniques and started blowing crap nearly 100 feet in the air, I got bored with it.

I grew up on a ranch out in the woods. Plenty of safe places to test risky hobbies like that. Never hurt anyone or anything important.

one time i put soooooooooooooo many lights on our christmas tree that it burst into flames and i laughed sooooo hard i almost peed myself.

I'm no shrink, but you might want to have a talk with your MD. No fooling, if someone gets hurt, or property is destroyed by a fire you started, and you get caught, you could be required to register as an arsonist (just like sex offenders do), and you'll have a hell of a time trying to get a decent job as a result.
