I like hurting feelings

Ever since I was a kid I liked hurting the feelings of people who are close to me by saying hurtful things. Even though I don't mean what I say. I still enjoy it to this day. Just yesterday I was messaging a good friend of mine, I cursed her out and said really mean things and made it so that she never talks to me again. is it normal for a guy to do this?

For kids it's normal. At a certain age you have to experiment with cruelty to develop your empathy, but as an adult you should have gained some compassion for your fellow humans.

I'm not a psychologist and you should proabably talk to one about this.

Is it maybe a defense mechanism? You know, the classic "I hurt them before they get a chance to hurt me"? Are you afraid of getting hurt? Do you fear people getting too close to you?

        Who, me?
I mean, that's obvuoussly a rassist and unnecessary statement, but it's still fascinating. What would make you think I'm a jew?

How do you feel about the fact that your friend is no longer talking to you?

In my humble opinion you sound kinda like a sociopath.

  • Do you know why?

This habit is going to cause you a lot of trouble in life.

I hurt peoples feelings often too but I don't do it for fun. I just don't understand what upsets people.

Do you enjoy getting hurt? If so, S&M? If not, just a lack of empathy, which seems pretty common these days.

it's normal somewhat, the anime thing makes me think your a 40 yr old virgin who's life revolves around video games and cartoon porn... just to let you know if some guy walked up to me with an anime mask on and flirted with me it would freak my shit And I would probably throat punch you because that screams rapist to me!!!

If you are into BDSM, you might be able to make a career out of being a professional Dominator (male version of a Dominatrix).

You say you don't me these things? Perhaps, it is a defence mechanism or a personality issue?

Personally I'm only really friends with people who can taken those kind of insults. I tend to say a lot of hurtful things but I don't really mean them. My closest friends will just insult me back. It must look weird to an outsider; we look like we're fighting.
Sometimes you have to know which people you can insult and which ones you can't. Some people are very sensitive, and don't respond well to insults, while others find them as funny as you do.
I suggest 'sorting' your friends so you know which ones you can act that why around and which ones you can't, but always be careful that you're not saying anything too hurtful.
