I like emo music

Dude like half of those bands aren't emo in the slightest bit...and yeah I love all those bands anyways emo is sometimes just a dumb stereotype

Those bands arent Emo. They are 'whine-rock', sort of a commercialized version of Emo music. I'm not a fan of either, but honestly just listen to whatever you want to and leave the labels for the posers

I don't think that because you like a kind of music that you are necessarily that brand of person. Hell I think that stereotypes and genres only exist to try and make us feel bad about ourselves. So please, don't worry about what music you like

Uh emo the genre, or emotional music, I believe your talking about the fad/trend emo genre.
Sad there is true emotional songs out there in all ranges of genres.

Listen, WAY older than you, wear a suit and tie, but right now, this instant, I'm listening to Abigals Ghost (waiting room), and in a moment I'm going to fire up some Devin Townsend project. And for the real haters I'll follow up with Nickleback. Deal is, I don't look or act like I just left a Marilyn Manson show, (or whomever). I LOVE music, but it doesn't define me, it compliments my emotions.

When I was at school (not that long ago) there was no such thing as "emo" music.

For me, people like what music they like and that in itself is a normal thing. I used to listen to rock music a lot but now I listen to pop bands and stuff, so don't overthink it really, you are you and that's what matters :D
