if you look cute as in "hot cute" keep at it, its a good look, i wish more women these days tried that instead of the "punk" look tattoos and body piercings aren't pretty looks, in my opinion.

While I would count it as normal to like being that way, it's also normal to encounter a little resistance because it isn't the cultural norm - that is, actually going for it isn't nearly as normal as wanting to. In America, cuteness isn't considered a desirable trait in adults, alternatively because it isn't attractive or because it isn't a marketable skill in the "real world", and may indicate immaturity.

Personally I take it as a sign of a kind heart, and wish I could give the same impression. I get a little jealous of short, cutesy girls like you. Treasure it! Within reason.

There's nothing wrong with wearing what you want, but you need to be realistic. People can and do judge you based on how you present yourself. If you happen to be short, and in addition insist on dressing like a pedo's wet dream, don't expect people to take you seriously in professional or even personal situations.

I think you should try the heels, a nice pair of shoes can do wondrously sexy things for a woman, which you're free to intrpret as cute. 4" heels won't make you tall but the things they'll do for your legs and posture!

It's most likely not your height, but how you dress. It sounds like you dress like a child a lot, which isn't bad, but with being so short you might as well be one. That makes a lot of people uncomfortable for many reasons.
