I like animals more than people

I watch Ceaser 911 and whenever there is a kid thats been attacked by I dog, I just don't care... I don't care at all. In fact, people have told me I I'm heartless for caring more about animal abuse than child abuse! Im only 16 but I have these constant feelings, Is it because I live around animals or something else? I have always had this feeling since I was little. And I hate people who hate or are afraid of dogs/animals.....I tried talking to my mom about it and she says because I have anxiety that I should '' Understand '' these people. HEELP ME!

PS I have 2 younger brothers and 3 older sisters
so I don't understand cause' I'm raised with people/ kids.......
also I only care about my family and people I know If they were attacked by something I would help them one hundred percent HEELP ME!!!!!!

    Its completely understandable. We simply have more sympathy towards animals since they are more loyal and more trustworty (can't say the same towards humans ;) )

    For example Recluded,
    I was watching this show called Ceaser 911, and the couple who called Ceaser were having difficulty with they're relationship because they 2 year old son had been ( I forget his name because I don't care. ) bitten by their american bulldog Gunny. The dad threatened to shoot the dog with his gun and the mother said she would divorce him if he killed Gunny. Of course being a animal lover I took the side of the mother, I thought '' well, that man can go screw himself. '' Unfortunately my '' thoughts '' were words and that proceeded into my mother and I getting in to a scrap. There you have it. Why don't you judge me on that Simon.

    Im so sorry you were abused. Of course I care for you, but I'm saying if it is a child I have no interest in knowing or I find them extremely annoying, or I just don't know them, then I don't give a shit. Hopefully your getting better and recovering.

    Yes it's normal. I do care about abused children though. I'm 17 and I was abused. I identify as an animal and don't like people. But I do feel bad for abused children. Normal children and small animals I could probably destroy pretty easily. Normal children because they're often spoiled brats who haven't had to feel a day of pain in their life, and normal small animals because I feel a prey drive towards them and it makes me feel better. But if they've been abused I want to rescue them and make them my friend.

    Pets can be more trustworthy and better companions than humans, that's for sure. But you're on a completely different level. How can you not care if a child is hurt by a dog? That's not normal at all.

    Can you help me Something Recognizable???
    Why do I feel like this??
    I have 2 collies, Moon and Atlas, and they would never attack someone.
    Like I said; I HATE people who are afraid of dogs or animals.
    I have TONS of friends and I try talking to them about it but it doesn't help.... What can they or I do to help me understand them?

      Thinking/asking them why they hate/are afraid of dogs

      It could be a traumatic experience where they got attacked by a dogshower as a child,they see them as a "lower" life form because of their lower intelligence, thethe neighbours dog is keep running through the garden and destroys everything or various other reasons

      Or short: try to understand why they are like that and maybe help them/ convince them why dogs are good
