I lie to my friends to make them happy?
Have these friends on this website that I go on about everyday ( I post art there and will chat with them often), and well,
I guess in a way I will change my personality to make them like me.
For example, they think that I dislike people who are interested in serial killers, I have even made short comics expressing that, but in reality, I am interested in serial killers myself, but I would never let them know that.
It's probably silly lying to them like that, and if they really are my friends then they wouldn't judge me, but still, I can't risk losing them.
However, on another website, I have a few people I talk to...I wouldn't really call them my friends because we don't talk that often, but these two people know about my interest in crime, and we happily discuss it amongest ourselves. I feel like I can be more open with these people rather than my other friends.
I'm not saying that I don't like all my friends, I do really! That's why I put so much effort in trying to make them happy,
if I didn't care, then I wouldn't be so careful around them.
Is this normal? Am I being selfish? Should I just be true to all my friends?
I think you should be more honest. | 11 | |
