I laugh when someone hits me?

Ok, so, whenever someone hits me I start to laugh, not because it does't hurt, it does, but I also have a really hight pain threshold which means I can take a beating. I just think it's funny I guess? That cannot be normal. Well, I don't laugh if I'm in a bad mood. But if they take me down to the ground and continue hitting me i laugh especially hard, I can't stop myself. This only happens when I'm rough housing with friends or family members, it has yet to happen while I'm in the boxing ring, but I have slipped out the occasional chuckle.

Same, I think my brother's efforts to hit me are funny. He always asks "why are you laughing?"

Oh! Hey by the way! You box, and I love to practice martial arts. Do you think maybe people like us get some kind of exhilaration out of physical conflicts? Even if we end up losing?

Wow. I do exactly the same thing every time! My best friend treats me like her personal punching bag just to make me smile. It's especially true if it's successive hits to my gut, that cracks me up. Gets pretty tiring after 10 or 12 swings, but I'm always breathless with laughter after. I didn't think there was anyone else like this! That's hilarious!

This has happened to me in a different way, I get it when hearing bad news, unfortunatly laughing upon hearing about your grandmothers death is not acceptible.

Not that I was happy or amused at all I just think it is your minds way of dealing with something bad. Years ago I had a girlfriend who did the exact same thing so I know I'm not the only one.

Sounds like that scene in Fight Club.

It's probably just a variant reaction to adrenaline rush. I don't get in fights, but I always laugh hysterically on roller coasters.

So if someone really beat the shit out of you, I'm talking broken nose, deep lacerations, broken ribs, possible internal bleeding, and severe concussion....You would be laying in pool of blood giggling? I think not. No one's that tough pal.lol

It's not a toughness thing man. Yeah, it tends to go with high pain thresholds, but that's not what he's talking about. It's the brain's funky reaction to said beating lol. Yeah, he's not going to be giggling in that much of a beating, but he's gonna be laughing until you do something seriously bad.
