I know this has been posted before but...

Death freaks me out. Like, BAD. Lately for some reason I've been scared of it, I'm 22 years old but I'll be sitting there one moment and then I'll be like, " Omg, one day I won't be here." I need some resources to help me get over this stage. I use to be fine, but lately I've been just watching my grandmother age, and her health go down. I believe in God, I believe in heaven and the afterlife. But can someone just... be nice, and give me nice comments on this, for resources from the bible, scriptures, or, a recommend a good christian church in Tacoma?? Thank you so much.

If you are a Christian, and have been baptized etc. Then you have nothing to worry about. Don't be afraid of hell. We're already there. ANYTHING up there is going to be better than a world full if rapists, killers, and corrupt politicians.

If you like scripture you could try Walt Whitman. He reads like King James but with a relentless energy. Out of the Cradle Endlessly Rocking is all about a youthful realization of death.

Or if you wanna be emo about it, you could read Hamlet.

Or you could listen to powerful, upbeat music. Whoever you like....

Or call up 5 people you know and play a game you know will amuse you.

    Or bake something.

I came to terms with death at 15, stop being a pussy and accept life as it is. Eat healthy, become powerful, rich, and live life honestly. Maybe they'll find a way to keep you alive long past your wish to do so. Oh wait, they already have. Live for the moment and use whatever incentive you can to continue. After all, you don't want to be inferior to a 15 year old, do you?

Everybody dies. I 'll die, your mom will die, you will die.

the more you fear about the closer you are to it.

Im not christian so i don't really know about churches and stuff. I did go through a few phases like there where i thought about death all the time and how i wouldnt be with my loved ones anymore and it made feel really lonely and worried. I have pretty much made peace with it, i just try my hardest to make this life count, be a good person, help others and follow my dreams. when i focus on living it helps me not to focus or stress so much about dying.

I am in England so I can't recommend a good church but you should talk this through with a church minister or leader.
You could search for local churches on the internet and e-mail a minister/leader. There are usually contact details on church websites.
Do you worry about hell or do you just worry about not being here?
    All the best,

I think its the fact that I'm not going to be here, I do believe in God, I've been saved... I try to pray everyday and look for a good church to go to.. but I dont' want to leave people and I don't want people to leave me. I think it's really the transition that scares me
