It bothers me so much when my mom calls me sweet or any other name. Maybe it's because we have a very dysfunctional relationship...
Before things between us got bad it didn't bother me much but, now I just can't stand when she tries to be extra nice

*before anyone comments with something rude to say, know this: My mom has a new boyfriend and she acts like his pet. Him and I have no type of relationship, he disrespects me sometimes and she'll let him or join in on it. She changed her personality for this guy. It's been going on for a while and there has been so many huge arguments between her and I. When he's not around is when she tries to be extra friendly. And I over hear her say bad things about my sister to him a lot. It pisses me off.

So is it normal that her being nice to me seriously annoys me?

    I kinda understand what you mean. My friend's mom got a boyfriend. He's a short tempered piece of shit. He gets very annoying because he'll stay in your face even if he's not talking to you. One question, is it only verbal abuse or is it psychical? (He flipped on me my friend and a few others be cause we drank a forth of a liter of juice. He threatened us and went to hit my friend. She flinched, but I punched that fucker in his face.) Anyway Yes it's normal to be VERY ANNOYED about this. She shouldn't have to change her self let a lone join in!

      My sister is 24 she lives somewhere else I'm 18 my mom and her boyfriend are both 43

    Be honest. Go to her and ask her to talk...but you must keep your cool. Make sure to let her know you love her but you have some feelings that you want to talk to her about. Honesty and communication are both very necessary for any relationship. Whether or not she can handle how you feel is another story.
