I just can't sit normally

What I mean by this is no matter how hard I try to keep my feet on the ground, I always end up curling one or both legs underneath me and sitting on them, or sitting with one leg pressed against my chest and the other to the side, or cross-legged. Mostly, I sit on my legs.

Ever since I was little, I could never sit 'normally,' or 'properly.' My dad used to get mad at me and tell me to sit properly, but for some reason I can't ever sit with my feet on the floor.

I don't think this is horrible for my health or anything, but I observe other kids in my class and they always sit with their feet on the ground, or at least one. Anyone know what I mean...?

Me too. But school desks make it so hard to sit any other way than with your feet on the ground!

  • I'm the same way. I'm more comfortable with my legs up when I sit.
